What to do with the old Comic Books
Everyone at one time or another has those old comic books lying around. Either from childhood or they belonged to your parents or even grandparents. Or maybe they were given to you by someone who wanted to get rid from their own. Most of the time they are not worth much, just nice to have around for nostalgia's sake. Other times you can find a gem that you could keep and expensive, or sell this puppy on Ebay or at a local dealer.
No matter where they came from or what it intends to do with them, those old cartoons back many memories and can be difficult to let go. But it is sometimes necessary to do just that, whether to reduce the clutter in your home, make some money, or to make room for more news! It is always difficult to let go of all those memories and stories you enjoyed fresh so many years ago, but it may be worth.
How do you know if they are worth nothing if? Well, if you're not a regular reader comic is a common misconception that it is all are worth as much as their cover price, and if they are old, they must be worth more. Unfortunately, this is almost never the case. Like anything else, the band designed to depreciate with age and with each fold very small they may have. They also lose value if the characters represented are no longer popular, or if the comics are not old enough. In fact, nothing from 1970 and up will probably not be worth much unless it is a story hot top by a creator, a first appearance or characteristics of a character very popular.
One way you can know if your old comics worth anything is to be corrected and noted by the certified company Guaranty (CGC) BD whose grades and places them in a protection plastic covering to better preserve them. They also provide a seal and a document of authenticity and of course a note. Graded comics usually sell for amounts significantly greater than the comic even in Perfect Condition that is not classified. But the classification has a price. For each cartoon quality, it will cost you $ 20 to $ 80 depending. While it will sell for more, it can still be difficult to find a buyer, and you're cutting your profit by the cost of scoring.
Ebay is a great way to get rid of the old comics as well. Everyone uses Ebay these days, and you can set a reserve price, or open all the way up. You can sell copies or collections. And you can describe your items in detail for potential buyers. Tons of comics are sold on Ebay every day.
You can also just give the Army of Hi, the local library, or a kid in the street if you want. They are your comic, then do what you want with them. If you want to keep your old comics around, but you want to protect them, go buy a few bags and boards from your favorite local or online comic book shop and throw them in a storage box. This is your call.
