Sony BDP-S570 Blu-ray Disc Player 3D Review
First a little history. I bought a Sony BDP-S300 (one of the first Sony player BD) three years ago to use for my home theater system. It has always been a good player, just the basic equipment for free. Not much advanced features, but image quality is excellent and all I can.
But in the middle of 2009, I started look for a new car to replace an aging comic S300. S300 is an excellent image quality, no doubt, but it was a problem waiting for a long time loading, playing up to five minutes on Blu-ray Java (active from the main menu of the disc cold). The process of "listening" for new machines, the Samsung BD-P1600 and Sony BDP-N460, which was again tested for one reason or another trade.
Well, my friend, I seems that my long wait for a replacement S300 is completed. I bought a Sony BDP-S570, Thursday, March 4, 2010, and can be satisfied with the results.
I tell you I am alone for quality players. I'm not interested in the combination of the Internet - which can some of you may be avoided. I only load times, waiting times, the picture quality, sound quality. Everything else should be consideration for me because I can not turn the TV on your computer with Windows XP Media Center, on matters such as Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, etc. Thus, opinions and comments are on multiple CDs / DVDs Videos can play according to the unit.
After removal of the box BDP-S570 and paste into the TV via HDMI, I downloaded our "test" of the first half of 2009, a powerful Java Paramount Blu-ray is "Star Trek "by JJ Abrams. The album, before you say" Klingon "is. I was very impressed if you go the Pop" Up / Menu "on the remote hard disk automatically by four trailers (which plays automatically at the beginning of most of the time). This is the first aircraft to fly further than the trailer to the time. (It used to transmit each transferred simultaneously.)
How many of you know, "Star Trek" comic was one of the well-preserved 2009 BD, the image quality. Well, I would say the PQ is excellent on this player and the TV. The only problem I found was a successful video production and processing of short and unpredictable, if something happened and was a moment in the battle space weather at the end of the film. I turned around and repeated again and again without any problems.
Another test in 2007, British PB "Spider-Man 2 (the trilogy). This CD is played loads quickly and without problems, please complete the PQ and the video output. No complaints of everything here.
Test to the plate final of the 2006 Platinum Edition Disney DVD version of "The Little Mermaid. This album is a fast and picture quality excellent all been completed. N. teeth, what you see on BD other machines on a standard DVD to play. The perfect vehicle for 480i 1080p native panel.
Some of the features that made me look like this: The remote has a button open / close, an old Sony BD Remote (The N460) has disappeared. This player does not have a car, it is easier to start (for now) on new players, TV out of the box are connected. In addition, you can remove the light, and the number of (anti) appears before the unit is completely black, when in use. This is useful because I do not like all the lights, especially when playing movies in a dark room.
And it is very small this player. S300 is a giant in comparison. This player is not for everyone in my office (in fact so small that I do not always have the Wii on top, as I did with my old drive.)
Overall is a good +++++ Sony machines. Here is a player that I expected. The technology level the player is really found a vocation. In addition, the 3D player for the next firmware for this summer. I am prepared, comics 3D image observed after discharge. Party for all.

Party $6.42 Peter Sellers plays a bumbling foreigner once again (but this time he's not from France) in this cult-favorite comedy. Hrundi V. Bakshi (Peter Sellers) is an accident-prone actor from India who has come to California, hoping to make a name for himself in Hollywood movies. However, Bakshi quickly makes the wrong impression on producer C.S. Divot (Gavin MacLeod) and studio chief Fred Clutterbuck (J. Edward McKinley) when he accidentally blows up the set for his first film. Clutterbuck jots down Bakshi's name to remind himself to have the actor blacklisted, but he doesn't realize that he's put the name on the guest list for an upcoming party at his home. Bakshi sees the social event as an opportunity to get back in Clutterbuck's good graces, but from the moment he arrives, one thing after another goes wrong, with increasing effect; it doesn't help that he finds himself infatuated with Michele Monet (Claudine Longet), Divot's latest starlet discovery. Director Blake Edwards shot The Party with a minimal script to allow Peter Sellers and the other comic actors greater room for slapstick improvisation, which helps explain why many of the film's most memorable scenes feature little or no dialogue. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi |

The Wild Party $4.02 Director James Ivory has disowned this Hollywood drama, inspired by the Fatty Arbuckle/Virginia Rappe case and based on a satirical poem by Joseph Moncure March, which was heavily cut by American International Pictures from two hours to 90 minutes. The story concerns Jolly Grimm (James Coco), whose career as a famous silent film comic is coming to an end with the advent of talking pictures. He plans a last hurrah by making one more silent film and invites a collection of Hollywood big shots to his mansion in hopes of convincing one of them to distribute the picture. His mistress, Queenie (Raquel Welch), encourages him, but it quickly becomes apparent the film is a bomb. As Jolly Grimm keeps drinking, his mood becomes less jolly and more grim, particularly when movie star Dale (Perry King) starts getting quite familiar with Queenie. Meanwhile, young starlet Nadine (Annette Ferra), after finding her sister in bed with a guest, seeks out Jolly for solace. When Jolly tries to comfort her by kissing her full on the mouth, a drunken party guest, thinking Jolly is trying to seduce the girl, begins to beat Jolly senseless. Dale halts the fracas, but when Jolly doesn't thank Dale properly for saving him from a shellacking, Dale retreats with Queenie to the boudoir. Jolly, already keyed up to a dangerous level, awaits their emergence from the bedroom with a gun in his hand. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi |

I Am Comic $10.28 Comedian and filmmaker Jordan Brady offers an inside look at the art and business of stand-up comedy in this documentary. In I Am Comic, more than eighty professional comedians -- ranging from struggling beginners to veterans with over a fifty years of experience -- talk about the nuts and bolts of their work, discussing how they create their material, how an act comes together over time, the rigors of performing and their relationship with their audience. The film also focuses on one particular performer, Ritch Shydner. During the 1980s, Shydner was a working comedian who seemed poised for a major breakthrough -- he appeared on a number of top talk shows (including Johnny Carson, Jay Leno and David Letterman), he had his own special on HBO, he appeared on several situation comedies as a guest star and starred in several pilots for comedy shows built around him. Despite it all, Shydner never hit the big time, and he eventually quit touring to become a writer for television. After more than a decade away from the stage, Shydner is hoping to make a comeback, and Brady follows him as he tries to connect with a new audience and adjusts to the changing landscape of professional comedy. Featuring interviews with Phyllis Diller, Lewis Black, Sarah Silverman, Jeff Foxworthy, Dave Attell, Bobcat Goldthwait, Carlos Mencia and many more, I Am Comic received its world premiere at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi |

Tim Conway: Timeless Comedy Conway hams it up with stars of the day in rare, stand-up performances not seen in more than 40 years. Special guest appearances by Ernie Anderson, Bing Crosby, Phil Harris, David Janssen, Steve Lawrence and others. Redd Foxx and Groucho Marx Sporting his trademark cigar and deadpan delivery, Groucho Marx interviews members of the audience and answers questions about his long comic career as one-third of the manic Marx Brothers, stars of such classic films as Duck Soup and A Night At The Opera. Taped shortly before he became the star of the hit TV series Sanford & Son, Redd Foxx ribs a mixed audience with a politically incorrect routine of jokes about poverty, race relations, slavery, the Vietnam War, women and dwarves. |
