A DC + Marvel Comics Superheroes Movie, is there hope?
DC Comics and Marvel Comics are the largest Comic Book companies. They both us presented to extraordinary individuals, out of this world, building great that we can only dream of. We follow their adventures with enthusiasm as they help those who in need, fight villains and save the world. Some of them are ordinary people or "unhappy" people who came into contact with unknown chemicals or radiation that has changed while others come from distant planets / galaxies or the results of nature takes its course in unexpected directions.
DC Comics was launched in 1934 and gave us The Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Flash, and the most popular Batman and Superman.
Marvel Comics was founded in 1939 and brought us Thor, Captain America, Hulk and more popular, Iron Man and Spider-Man.
During the last few years we've been blessed with quite a few of our heroes beloved big-screen Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), Hulk (2003), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Superman Returns (2006), Iron Man (2008). It is a great feeling to see the hero come to life, meat and bone rather than on paper made ink and color. It should be an honor to play to be part of such a film. Even as a villain.
Sometimes characters the different worlds will team on some occasions (Batman and Superman, Iron Man and Spider-Man), or create a sort of group or association of superheroes, where they will work together. DC Comics Justice League and Marvel Comics Avengers. There are films based on comic books, Justice League: Mortal and The Avengers, scheduled for release in 2011 - Talk about competition.
A project that many people would like to see come to the Life is a movie with DC and Marvel Comics combined. They can be friends, enemies, competitors, opponents, do not really matter as long as both worlds meet for an adventure super hyper.
There have been many rumors about such an image, but all they were: rumors.
Again such a project can not be easy, because we have two competitors who may both want to come out the winner by having his or their superheroes to be portrayed better, stronger and smarter than the other (s). And it will not be only about two publishers, but also at least two movie studios Warner Bros. and Marvel Studios.
The rumors of the film were revived last August, when Stan Lee (creator of Spider-Man, X-Man and Iron Man), had lunch at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills with Jon Peters (producer of Batman Returns and Superman Returns).
In the meantime, all we can do is pray and hope that the anticipation and wait is worth it and exciting.
